Trinigy, an industry leading 3D game engine provider with over 100 licensees and offices in Germany and Austin, TX, today announced the release of version 7.6 of its Vision Engine. The latest version offers a host of new features designed to give game developers more workflow freedom, more runtime power and more creative choices. Some of the key features included are new animation and component editors, deferred rendering, and all-new integrations with partner technologies.

"The growth of new technologies and the speed at which those technologies are coming to market have given rise to new forms of games and new methods of distribution," said Dag Frommhold, managing partner at Trinigy. "Supporting those changes requires middleware that is flexible enough to help a wide range of teams achieve higher quality content faster for multiple platforms and genres. Highlights of the Vision Engine 7.6 include:

Tool and Workflow Upgrades:
- Animation Transition Editor: This new editor empowers artists to easily create animation transitions without the aid of programmers
- Component Editing in vForge: Behaviors and properties can easily be applied to objects on-the-fly in vForge
- Upgraded Terrain Editor: An improved Terrain Editor now supports unique maps, such as satellite data
- Deferred Shading Integration: Deferred shading is now fully integrated into vForge

Runtime Improvements:
- Deferred Rendering: Highly optimized for each platform, it includes time-of-day, screen-space ambient occlusion, cascaded soft shadows, depth-of-field and rim lighting.
- Extended LUA Scripting Integration: Create/modify particle effects and access/modify object components
- New PlayStation3 Renderer: A new highly optimized renderer for the PS3 platform.
- DX11 Support – Support for DX11-based hardware.

SpeedTree 5.0 will be uploaded in about 3-4 hours (maybe some more), I have ScaleForm GFx only 3.0.68 :( my license didn't allow me to download 3.0.74
Vision 7.6.3 samples will be uploaded tomorrow, as i said earlyer.
Maybe on the next week i'll upload Gamebryo Lightspeed... But it's terribly huge (4+ GB).
And also guys, when you get crack - please share it :) for every product.

Hmmm good idea! SpeedTree and Scaleform GFX i'll share through LetItBit, and Lightspeed with integrations through torrent. (I hope Emergent and Trinigy wouldn't try to catch me :D )

Astaror, If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you to license this engine? I'm thinking of using this engine for my project but don't want to be shocked when I go to get my own personal key lol thanks man really appreciate you sharing this!

Are you interested in Vision? If so, then think about 90+k euros. Additionally Speedtree and Scaleform will cost about 30+k dollars. Try to think about finding investor when your project will be near completition :)
If you are interested in Gamebryo, then price will be higher in about 2-3 times :)

Thanks Astaror! I'm more interested in Lightspeed. It has the features I need which are more geared towards my genre over Vision. Never thought a day would come when I would get to mess with Gamebryo so I can't thank you enough for being willing to share it!

Lightspeed is great version of Gamebryo. But it's very hard to understand all from scratch :)
It's really new generation of engines. Just imagine - you start your game and editing levels and game logic without recompillation and even restarting your application :)
It's really amazing!
Vision is also great engine, especially now - with support of DirextX 11, and some features in near time (i can't say what especially, NDA, but its also new generation :) ). And is much easyer to understand than Lightspeed.

Don't get too excited, guys. The key file posted by multiple people is just a trick to fool the installer. If you open it with a text editor, you can see "22220222-RL-Team World-\xA0\xA0\xA0\xAA\xA0\xA0\x00\xA0\xA0". Applications compiled with this key WILL NOT run. You can try it yourself with what I did below.

I first created a box in 3ds max and exported it as a vision static mesh. Next I ran the original vSceneViewer.exe that came with the installation in the "Trinigy\VisionSDK\shared\bin90dx9x86" folder, which must have been compiled with the proper license before it was shipped. Here is what I got when I tried to load the box mesh.

Next, I recompiled "vSceneViewer90.sln" in the "Trinigy\VisionSDK\vSceneViewer" folder using "Release" and "Win32" setup. Run vSceneViewer.exe in the "Trinigy\VisionSDK\shared\bin90dx9x86" folder again. When loading the box mesh, it failed this time.

So a proper key is needed before you can start writing any app with Vision SDK, or someone just has to crack Vision80.dll/Vision90.dll again like SDK 6.4.2.

For Vision 6.4.2, the runtime DLL vision80.dll/vision80d.dll does the license validation. In fact, I remember only one byte in vision80.dll needs to be changed to disable the license validation. I don't know if there's any significant change in 7.6.

From what I can see, this release only has source code for tools and plugins, not the engine itself. So the only possible solution is to patch the runtime DLL.

They are for SDK 6.4.2 and definitely won't work for 7.6.3. vision80.dll/vision90.dll is the core of the system. I can upload them (the original and patched ones) if you really want them. But it will take some time for me to dig them out from my hard drive.

I see what you mean. So what we need is the core from SDK 7.6.

Maybe the key for the installer wasn't cracked well?

EXEs came with the installation should run with no problem, because they were compiled with valid license by trinigy people. License signature is embedded in compiled excutables.

Try to recompile "Examples80.sln" in "Trinigy\VisionSDK\EngineSamples" folder, then run "Tutorial-01.exe" in "Trinigy\VisionSDK\shared\bin80dx9x86" folder. Almost all samples will fail.

It's obvious this key is not good. Vision installer will accept any key formatted this way.

I checked out the .dll file and its posible to crack it but we need time and skills(and good dissambler)

LinXP's patch is working on 7.6.3.0 vision but only on vision80.dll so no support for DirectX 10 and other new options that come in Vision90.dll.
If we could open patch and see what parameter and where he's cracking, we would open same way Vision90.dll, and crack that code!

Try to rename Vision90.dll to vision80.dll, patch it and then rename it back... it might work. It probably use same authorization method on same place in code.

I tried this way. Nope, it only bypasses the authenticity key error but crashes most samples. See my post at #76.

I think it's better to compare compiled samples by vision team and by yourself

I tried this too on Tutorial-01.exe. Way too many differences (w/ same compiler under same setup). I guess compiler does some random optimization automatically.

If someone can upload the Vision90.DLL and any other DLL responsible for the authentication and tell me what the exact text of the message of the "Invalid key" (an attached screen dump would be better) I will give it a go.

I am no expert but have some experience in this field.:smiling:

Also if anyone with the Cracked Vision80.dll could compare it to the uncracked version and post the results this would be useful

To find out the differences just copy the 2 Dll's into 1 directory - c:\visioncrk - Rename the cracked DLL to VCracked80.dll.

Got a day off, I'll try and do vision80.dll/vision90.dll, just taken a look at Linxp previous crack and it looks as if it changes 1byte to a jump. I'm not a great cracker but I have my moments! :) I'll update as I work it out and maybe a bit of input from others who have a bit of knowledge, would be good. Ta.

I tried my old method by searching the hex string "C0 5F 5E 74" in vision80.dll in "Trinigy\VisionSDK\shared\bin80dx9x86" (the one located at hex address 1BD6C does the key validation) and replacing the last 4 bytes ("74") with "EB". This does bypass the nasty "authenticity key invalid" error and some recompiled samples even run successfully, like vSceneViewer.exe or GUI.exe. However, most recompiled samples crash during scene loading. In the past, this trick worked flawlessly for SDK 6.4.2. I guess this time there must be some other triggers in this dll.

GUI sample runs fine:

That is because they have changed the location. You think it works but when the actual code is run for Authentication, it crashes.

I have disassembled the \VisionSDK\shared\bin90dx9x86\Vision90.DLL and here is the relevant code segment:

The DLL crashes because this function is run (Fatal Error = Crash):

So to patch it you need to do this:

Change the line of code

This permanently jumps over the Crash Line

So open the Vision90.dll in your HEX editor and search for these bytes in HEX:

E8612FFEFF5E84DB5B7512

You will find this sequence in one place only, starting at 029D0A. So just patch the

HEX 75 at location 02D913

and change it to EB and save the file.

MAKE A BACKUP in case this fails.

Please test this and let me know. If this works then I will look at the other Vision DLL's and post the relevant locations to patch. And if it does work I am due some cars http://forum.rl-team.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

Actually, that's not because they changed the location. Just as "sorry_iris" stated before, even you patch the "jne" to "jmp", though there would be no authentic error, but the application you compiled will still failed. Maybe you should trace into "call 10011470", and checkout the algorithm they actually used to check license key, then generate real license key. I suspect they embed license key info into the lib.

I tried to debug the application I built, and found after pass the authentic, the application failed when try to parse vscene file by call ParseFile in VBase.dll, which make me think there might be some tricky integrity checking in VBase.dll, but can't figure out where.

Since I'm only amateur in reverse-engineering stuff, a good cracker needed here! Please!

The file I patched was Vision80.dll, not Vision90.dll. Of course, they have different locations for license check.

Agree with myrlteamnetdot2. "EB" trick only works when you are not loading a scene. I already showed some working samples 2 pages ago, like GUI.exe. There must be some other defense mechanism when a scene is loaded.

Just tested again, and I found that if you remove all meshes in the scene, the scene will be loaded just fine. That's say, a scene contains sky, particles, gui will works fine, but if you try to add a geometry into the scene, the application will crash when loading the scene.

To be accurate, not all geometry will crashed the self-compiled game, .model file works fine, only .vmesh file can't be loaded properly.

My guess is, I don't think there's a limit, it's more about your performance.

With the future of dx11's tessellation, a 10k tris character will look extremely smooth. So I don't see a reason to worry about it, unless you are talking about something massive that might require more, but between 10k-15k tris you should be fine for human-size characters.

I really like how smooth the frame-rates are in Trinigy's engine compared to many others that I've tried that had even less complex scenes.
Also Astaror said about it costing much less to licence compared to , for example, Gamebryo.

Lot's of XOR'ing together with date & name and the last 9 bytes.....

It seems that it only needs to be the right syntax (not the checksums) during install, but the authentication string is passed to the function that initializes the engine and there it's checked if it's valid (algorithm).
During install it writes the content of vision.keyfile to ".....\VisionSDK\shared\include\Engine\VisionAuthen ticity.hpp".

So I've made a keygen that produce a valid vision.keyfile with any name.
(It expires 12:th March 2062 !!)
No need to patch (if we have to do that, we have to patch both the debug/release versions of DX9/DX10)!

Everything was OK during install.
I tried to build some of the examples.
No nagging and it seems to work.
But, some of the examples crash during loading of the scene.
They always crash at the same place in the code:

I've finally cracked it.

It turned out that the check of the authentication key was found on several places with several different algoritms.

Authentication string:
<date>-<name>-<1 byte XOR'ed checksum><8 bytes authentication>

One other thing is that keyfile here on forum, contains '-' in the name which you can't have 'cause it's the delimiter for the fields in authentication string.

During install it only checks for syntax above (I think).
During initialization of the engine, the whole string is checked. (to also check expired date)
During loading of scenes etc. the last 8 bytes are checked against a different algoritm.

So I have updated the keygen so you get a valid license.
I tried it:
- Installation --> OK
- Examples (no meshes)
Release DX9/DX10 --> OK
Debug DX9/DX10 --> OK
- Examples (w. meshes)
Release DX9/DX10 --> OK
Debug DX9/DX10 --> OK

I've tried about 10 of the different example projects and NO PROBLEM!
No crashes at all.
I'm using VS2008 SP1 and had no problem at all.

Yiipeee, everything seems to be OK (at least on my computer).

The keygen is nothing fancy. It's only a console program where you input a licensee name and it spits out a "vision.keyfile".
If you already installed the SDK, no problem, just copy / paste from "vision.keyfile" to ".....\VisionSDK\shared\include\Engine\VisionAuthen ticity.hpp".
Rebuild your program and you should be fine.
Good thing is that we don't have to patch different DLL's ;)

I'm going to upload the keygen to RS in a couple of hours...
Take it for what it is, a quick hack that works on my computer.

Simples. its 100 times better, product, support, documentation. Look at the releases from each engine and compare, well it doesn't really, Trinigy Vision wins,in my view anyway, easily.

I tried "Shader - Dynamic Cubemaps", build Release DX10, (from examples) with your key and it asked if I wanted to use windowed mode or not.
I choose windowed mode and it ran perfectly.....

Don't know if it's this forum that adds spaces in your key, but it should be:
"20620312-razorrew-\x03\x4f\x25\x36\xe2\xf2\xfa\xc3\xb4"

I've try couple examples, it works perfectly. Previously with patched dll, all scenes contains .vmesh will crash, now it loads just fine! I'll continue testing.

I dont see any FX or sound plugin attached, there is no sound sources
that I can see in source, so I guess there is no sound in examples.
I am guessing again, attaching some sound engine to the Vision would
be a separate process and is our individual choice.

These are the password for unpacking SpeedTree.rar in "VisionSDK\shared\external\SpeedTree" and ScaleformGFx.rar in "VisionSDK\shared\external\ScaleformGFx". Check the readme files inside for further instructions.

Just open solution in VisionSDK\EngineSamples and compile. But since we don't have the license key, the examples using Speedtree( eg, DeferredShading, Fantasy) will failed anyway.

All scene failed to load in my compiled vForge with VS2008 including FurMaps.scene.

Nope, I just opened vForge90.sln in "VisionSDK\vForge", switched to "Release" configuration, and compiled. It must have something to do with your compiler setup.

Thanks sorry_iris. I'm still using VS2008 (no sp1, neither any patch applied).
I just found out the cause: I changed the output from vForge.exe to vForge2.exe, which cause the problem. It seems some dll are referencing vForge.exe assemebly, so it have to be exactly the name it is.

In fact, I found this key on Google when 2.3 DVD just came out (It's still in the 2.3 commentary :crazy:.).

This key was originally licensed to a Chinese MMORPG. But that game is so buggy and occasionally pops out errors with its key. Sounds really stupid, but good for us.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. The license posted above is for 2.3 and DOES NOT work with GameBryo Lightspeed anymore. Try to compile Samples01_Tutorials.sln in "Gamebryo-LightSpeed-Binary\Build\Samples\Win32\VC90", and you'll see what I mean.

This is stated in the documentation for GBL:

I bet you can built a game without any third party integration ( I mean the expensive ones like SpeedTree,ScaleformGFx,Morpheme2 ) with Trinigy Vision, what you should do is find alternative solution for the function you needed. Maybe write yourself or find some open source solution. Just my 2 cents.

The Terrain plugin could be compiled. The references error you have is simply because they obviously removed all core engine projects/codes in the solutions with leave some project references error not been clean up.
In that case, you could simply add new references to compiled assembly instead of project.
eg. for TerrainPlugin solution, you might need to manually add reference to bin90dx9x86\ManagedBase.dll for TerrainManaged90 project, since the ManagedBase project has been removed. And you might also need to VisionEnginePlugin90.lib as linker's input for TerrainManaged90 (same reason).

Well as far as I know this version of Trinigy is full SDK and that Astaror payed for this.
I'm not completely sure but this is what I remember.
Also older version of Speedtree and Scaleform are included and should work fine.

Yep, this is full SDK. Speedtree is latest version, Scaleform is 2-3 month old.

You are missing one moment... With Vision you are able to write one game for all platforms(PC, XBOX 360, PS3) with some little changes. No one engine will include in itself ALL. Dont try to find magic pill, it doesn't exists. Your game is your game, and engine is only basement for your game. And you will write many and many megabytes of source code for it.

I'm learning to build wii application with Vision, but it seems some files are missing (shared\property\Wii\makeWii.mak, shared\tools\VcprojExtract.exe). Do we need offical wii sdk to build a wii game with Vision or maybe I did something wrong?

Right pierwszy, but the mesh exported have dropeed every 5th polygon. See the export setting and window.

2-detail textures is enable

It must have, maybe as a component... I don't know any other engine without it... :maniac:

And it seams it doesn't have a sky system either (volumetric clouds), just sky domes with textures.

Did someone check Gambryo? Would it be better then Trinigy in this state?

For such an expensive engine it misses few things that even low engines have.

They don't even have an example of 3d ocean.
